The top 30 companies collected their certificates and celebrated at the awards’ first-ever rooftop party
The 2026 top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality were revealed today at The Caterer’s People Summit, held at the Line, London.
The awards, held in partnership with Korero and sponsor Umbrella Training, are now in their twelfth year. They celebrate companies that demonstrate exceptional skill at employee engagement and wellbeing and who have promoted staff retention through the training and development of their teams.
The awards celebrate companies large or small, established or entrepreneurial. Unlike many other awards, the Best Places to Work in Hospitality is not driven by managers or industry leaders, but the employees themselves, who filled out an anonymous survey compiled by Korero.
Korero’s co-founder Jo Harley, who spoke at the People Summit, said: “What makes the top 30 special is that they’re chosen by their own employees. These awards recognise the workplaces people genuinely want to recommend, judged against the criteria those people themselves most value in their workplace.
She said that sector engagement was 86%, with Employee Net Promoter Scores climbing from +66 to +68 across the entrants – “a powerful signal of advocacy”, she added.
Harley shared that three themes stood out from the survey: “Culture, care and team continue to be what people value the most; fair pay remains what people believe could be improved; and employee voice is rising through the years we’ve been running the survey – people want a real say in decisions that impact their role and how change is managed.”
The top 30 companies turned out in force to collect their certificates and celebrate at the awards’ first-ever rooftop party. Set on the terrace at the Line on Victoria Embankment, guests took in sweeping views of the Thames and landmarks including Tate Modern and the London Eye as the winners were announced.
The top six entries are presented in alphabetical order, as they now qualify for the Best Employer Award, sponsored by Harri, shortlist at the Cateys on 7 July.
