Valor Hospitality Europe to operate 17 hotels under new owner

Hotel management company Valor Hospitality Europe will continue to operate a 17-strong property portfolio following its sale by US private equity fund Marathon Asset Management to DTP Infinities Corporation, a new holding company for Thailand-based property business DTGO.

A reported £450m was paid for the hotels which are operated through a number of franchise agreements with InterContinental Hotels Group for Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Hotel Indigo branded properties, Hilton (Doubletree and Garden Inn, and Marriott (AC Hotels).

Euan McGlashan, global co-founder and chief executive of Valor Hospitality said: "Our successful collaboration with Marathon over the last six years to build a premier portfolio of hotels in leading cities across the UK has been an incredibly rewarding journey.

"We are now very excited about this new partnership with our friends at DTP and we look forward to playing a key role in their global expansion in the hospitality world."

Valor Hospitality Europe is a division of US-based Valor Hospitality which manages 40 hotels worldwide.
