The White Lotus reportedly checks out of Four Seasons Hotels

The next series of the White Lotus comedy-drama will not take place in a Four Seasons Hotels resort as a deal between the chain and network HBO has come to an end.

According to Variety, HBO has ended its marketing partnership with the hotel group after filming the past three seasons of the award-winning show in its luxury resorts.

A spokesperson for Four Seasons said: “At this time, only HBO is in a position to comment on matters related to the upcoming season of the series.”

No hotels have been confirmed for season four, which is still in development and is expected to film in France in 2026.

Variety reports the next season will break from tradition and follow guests across two locations in Paris and the French Riviera, rather than in a single resort.

Properties under consideration include the Ritz Paris, which opened in 1898 and hosted guests including Coco Chanel and F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the Le Lutetia on the banks of the Seine.

Previous seasons of the White Lotus have filmed at Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii, Sicily and Thailand, and brought a major boost in bookings.

The original filming location at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea said it saw a 425% rise in website visits and a 386% increase in availability checks after the show aired.

San Domenico Palace in Taormina, where season two was filmed, was reportedly booked out for six months when it reopened after filming.

Hotels.com said it saw a 65% spike in searches for season three location Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui in Thailand when the trailer was released last December.

The Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane also offered a White Lotus afternoon tea for £85 per person, including a “bespoke, lotus-inspired tea stand”, for a limited time this year.
