There is still time to cast your vote for The Caterer’s This is Hospitality Award.
The award, introduced as part of the year-long This is Hospitality campaign, marks a first for the Cateys, with the winner decided by an industry-wide public vote.
The award celebrates businesses and organisations that have gone above and beyond to support their communities and showcase hospitality’s positive impact on people’s lives.
But who are the six shortlisted finalists making a difference across the sector? Below, we take a closer look at why they made the shortlist.
Vote for The Caterer’s This is Hospitality Award now

Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales, has developed a far-reaching community support programme tackling socio-economic challenges across Newport. More than 900 employees have contributed over 7,755 volunteering hours to projects spanning community spaces, skills and training initiatives, while the resort also produces 2,000 meals every month for vulnerable residents facing food insecurity.

Since 2019, contract caterer Green & Fortune has hosted a major hospitality fundraising event celebrating Irish heritage, raising more than £270,000 for charity, including £84,000 last year alone. What began as a small gathering has grown into an annual industry event welcoming 230 guests.

Mollie’s hotel group’s programme is designed to change perceptions of hospitality careers among young people before they make key education and career decisions. Initiatives include hospitality-focused school workshops with hands-on business learning alongside mentoring and interview support for vulnerable 16- to 25-year-olds.

Restaurant group the Pony Family, based in south-west England, has developed a series of community-focused food, education and outreach initiatives as a tool for connection, learning and social impact. Schemes such as its mobile garden, kitchen and classroom helps children and families learn practical cooking, nutrition and sustainability skills through hands-on experiences.

The Selkie café-bar and restaurant in Dundee, Scotland, developed a community programme in 2020 to address food poverty, social isolation and improve wellbeing across Dundee. It has gone on to serve more than 12,000 meals, welcoming guests without stigma and requiring only basic information such as household size and dietary needs.

Contract caterer Vacherin’s decade-long partnership with Luminary Bakery supports women who have experienced homelessness, abuse or exploitation through training and employment opportunities. Last year alone, the partnership supported more than 100 women, created 175 hours of work placements and raised more than £140,000 through fundraising initiatives.

In what will be an unforgettable evening to honour and celebrate exceptional talent and pioneering businesses in hospitality, the winner will receive their award at the glittering Cateys awards ceremony in partnership with Square at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Tuesday 7 July.
