JJ Foodservice has launched a range of herbs and spices under its new ‘Signature’ premium own brand. The range includes 16 products spanning everyday essentials, such as ground black pepper, oregano and cumin, and specialty flavours, such as turmeric, sumac and isot pepper. The range also includes four new own-label 3kg products: ground black pepper, garlic powder, crushed chilli and paprika powder.

Premier Foods has launched a chef-developed Bisto Professional Bouillon range into UK foodservice. The paste or powdered bouillon is available in vegetable (vegan), chicken or beef flavour and can be used as a stock base, seasoning or flavour enhancer in sauces, reductions, gravies, soups, marinades, dressings and rubs. The paste has been reformulated to provide a richer mouthfeel, with 25g required per litre of water, and the powder is a new offering, with 20g required per litre of water, both free from declarable allergens.

Spanish olive oil brand Brindisa has added extra virgin Picual olive oil to its own-brand range. Picual olives are grown and processed in the Navarra region of northern Spain and produce a smooth, rich, peppery oil with hints of tomato leaf, pear, almonds and apple on the nose. The oil is available in 1 litre and 5 litre tins and can be used for salads, grilling, toasting, as a finishing oil and for frying at high temperatures.

Middleton Foods has added a salt and vinegar flavour to its Rooster’s range of gluten-free chip seasonings. The 2.5kg tub of seasoning delivers a tangy kick and can be sprinkled on cooked food, chips or wedges.

Funnybones Foodservice has expanded its sauces and seasonings range with Rio Pacific Chilli Jam. The vegan jam can add sweet chilli heat to glazed veggies or burgers, be paired with halloumi or mixed with mayo to make a dip.
