Brú Brewery, based in Trim, Co Meath, has been awarded four gold medals at the 2016 World Beer Awards.
Dave OâHare from Brú Brewery said: âWe wanted to brew a great tasting lager that everyone could enjoy, including my mum who is a coeliac, so winning two gold medals is testament to the Brú team ethos of doing whatever it takes to perfect our gluten-free lager; and my mum's bravery during those early test batches!"
Brú Breweryâs Irish craft IPA Brú Rà took the Country Winner award.Â
Daire Harlin, brewer at Brú Brewery said: âThese awards really top off what has been an incredible year for us at Brú Brewery. Over the course of the last 12 months we have commissioned our new brewery, opened our first Brú House pub and expanded the Brú team. And looking ahead we have even more exciting plans for the next 12 months.
âWe are absolutely honoured to have won these awards across our core range of lager, stout, IPA and red ale. We believe this recognises the obsession that our Brú team has towards brewing the finest hand-crafted beers made from local ingredientsâ.
The World Beer Awards is a competition that recognises the worldâs best beers.
