Food wholesaler DBC Foodservice has launched three new liveries to brighten up its 30 new eco-friendly delivery vehicles which will be rolled out to the entire fleet.
They are fitted with frigoblock electric twin evaporator systems to reduce DBCâs carbon footprint, along with Seveneye tracking to increase fuel efficiency and keep customers alerted to delivery times.
"In December last year **DBCÂ launched a new own-label brand **of essential products for caterers, the ‘dbc label', featuring contemporary packaging with close-up product photography, and we wanted to carry this rebranding to our updated fleet,â said managing director Chris Horne.
The move follows the appointment last month of new sales director, Tony Rowland, who was managing director at Loxtonfoodco.
After starting out as a chef in the Royal Navy, Rowland moved into management in the restaurant, bar and foodservice sector. He served as food development manager at Mitchells & Butlers and Greene King and expanded the Individual Restaurant Companyâs Piccolino and Bar & Grill brands from four to 33 sites.
â- DBC has won a £2.5m contract to supply more than 700 food product lines - ranging from café goods to full-serviced restaurant meals  - to the 18 sites owned by Northcutts Garden Centre group.
