Twelve finalists will be chosen to battle it out before a live audience of out-of-home food and drink buyers at Lunch! in September. The winner will receive a Vitamix Quiet One Blender worth more than £1,000 from contest sponsor Magrini.

Eastern Envy â€" a mix of lychee, melon, freshly-squeezed pear juice, ginger, coriander and lemongrass â€" was last year’s winning entry from Vimal DePala of London-based **Shaketastic **â€" whose Richard Debson took the title in 2009.

The exhibition, now in its fourth year, will be held at Old Billingsgate in London on 29-30 September with a forecast 180-plus exhibitors.
