Normandy dairy specialist Isigny Sainte-Mère has teamed its top-tier AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) Crème Fraîche and AOP Camembert with infusions of rare French-grown mushrooms as its offering for the season of indulgence.
The 20cl jars of fungi-infused crème fraîche, which are available from 15 November, can be eaten alone, spread on toast, or used in sauces and toppings.
The options - truffles, delicate morels or chunky, fragrant cèpes - are also available in a limited-edition sampling pack of three 25g pots of mushroom-flavoured butters. The truffles make a third appearance as an infusion in Isigny's 150g festive Camembert cheese.
