Ara Marlborough wine from New Zealand's Winegrowers of Ara

Ara Marlborough is a new wine range created for the UK on-trade by New Zealand's Winegrowers of Ara.

The two Ara Marlborough wines showcase the varieties New Zealand is best recognised for, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Lush grapefruit and gooseberry flavours are balanced by a refined and dry finish in the 2008 Ara Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, which has elements of the classic Marlborough style with the added complexity and texture present in all Ara wines.

The blend of fruit from older, typically low-yielding vines, with that of younger vines in the 2008 Ara Marlborough Pinot Noir, gives a balanced wine with a complex savoury structure and intense berry fruit nose. The wine is aged for six months in a mix of new and used oak barrels prior to bottling.
