Ardagh design new lightweight bottles for Thatchers Vintage

Thatchers Cider have announced a new design for its Thatchers Vintage 2013 bottles; the first lighter weight glass bottles for the brand's packaged cider.
According to Glass International the new 500ml bottle, which will feature the Thatchers name embossed across the shoulder and a slimmer bottle neck, will create an 18% saving in weight. The new bottle has been designed and produced by the Ardagh Group, which has supplied Thatchers for 15 years.
The new design for the lighter weight bottle comes as part of a development in the company's sustainability programme, which includes the creation of an energy programme throughout the site.
