Reschke Wines is a relative newcomer from Coonawarra, Australia, that has already made it on to the menus of the Fat Duck, Home House and Bentley's Seafood restaurants.
The fine red wines, which benefit from a growing climate similar to Bordeaux, are produced largely from local Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with a selection of Merlot, Shiraz, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
Reschke's flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, the Empyrean, is produced in limited quantities from exceptional vintages only. Other niche highlights in the range reflect the family's cattle-ranching heritage.
Vitulus (Latin for bull calf) adds mint and eucalyptus notes to the blackcurrant fruit, while Bos (Latin for bull) offers a fusion of blackberry, chocolate, currant and spice.
The range - which also includes Sauvignon Blanc Fum‚, Bull Trader Cabernet Merlot and Bull Trader Shiraz - all come in 75cl bottles and are sold in cases of 12, except for the Empyrean, which is packed six to the case.
