Babich Hawkes Bay wines from Justerini

For an easy-drinking white wine that is suitable to drink alone or paired with most food, try serving the Babich Hawkes Bay Sauvignon Blanc (2007).

Grapes are crushed and pressed at the Auckland winery and fermented in refrigerated stainless-steel tanks at cool temperatures, using a variety of yeasts. The palate is soft and juicy, with good fruit intensity enhanced by red apples and melon.

The aroma is described as gooseberry and cut grass with underlying tropical fruits, and a balanced acidity and herbal finish combine to make this a refreshing and versatile wine.
