Beacon Purchasing highlights new services and strategy

Beacon Purchasing, which is partner to more than 2,500 customers within hospitality, leisure and healthcare, has revealed a new look structure, strategy and a number of new services at a suppliers day in Harrogate.

Diane Webster, director of marketing at Beacon, told Caterer and Hotelkeeper: "Beacon has been re-positioned in order to focus on bottom line improvement for our customers, launching new specialist services in design and consultancy to help businesses improve their profitability.

"Going forward, we will continue to offer best in market pricing, underpinned by the new Beacon Price Guarantee available through our Centralised Credit Application process which means Beacon customers can now complete one application and request accounts with more than 150 suppliers, quickly and easily online and fully supported by our dedicated customer services team."

The day which included three workshops: creating great connections; generation and optimistion and making it better, easier and faster allowed suppliers the opportunity to meet the Beacon team including the newly structured sales team, and account managers.

New customers using Beacon can access a range of services and suppliers on various membership levels including a basic subscription for £495 per annum, subscription plus, implant or consultancy basis.

Increasingly customers are using the Beacon range of services on an implant or consultancy basis to work across several layers of their business. The new Beacon Design Service is an example of this - providing customers with direct contact to interior designers for a full service from design to install.

The company has also also invested in its business systems, including the launch of a new website to ensure it is easier and for customers to benefit from all services. Members can access a dedicated ‘Get a Quote' service; purchasing reports and personalised promotions from their personalised webspace ‘My Beacon'.

Paul Connelly, director of operations at Beacon, added: "There is so much opportunity for Beacon, not just in the UK but worldwide. Already, we are developing European channels to drive greater business opportunity for our supply partners and more choice for Beacon customers."
