Bidvest Foodservice launches Create Summer campaign
Bidvest Foodservice has unveiled its summer range with new products to suit the desire for bolder flavours and trend towards American barbecue.
Informed by market research and customer insights, the new range includes branded items and Bidvest Foodservice's Own Brand portfolio of light breakfast options, snack items meats for BBQs desserts and summer drinks. It also include a selection of outdoor cooking equipment, crockery and glassware.
With American-style barbecue items expected to be popular on summer menus, Bidvest will offer its Farmstead brand of more than 300 fresh meats that provide a base to apply bold seasonings accompanied by a new range of condiments, such as chipotle mayonnaise.
Bidvest Foodservice campaign and activation manager Gail Bridgeman said: "Through our research we see much more ‘chickenisation', with 31% of main meals being chicken based in 2015."
She added that Americanisation would continue too, with new products including the likes of beer, pretzel, and sourdough baps developed to offer caterers a point of difference.
"Summertime is all about social meal occasions, whether that's outdoor eating, afternoon tea, buffets, or sharing a dessert whilst enjoying summer events such as bank holidays, sporting events, or the Queen's birthday, there are a number of different options for operators to consider," Bridgeman said. To celebrate the launch of the range, which includes a new Farmstead bacon range, greater vegetarian options, and a vast dessert selection, Bidvest Foodservice is offering discounts to customers across the range up until 27 May 2016.
