Birchall Foodservice thriving in new site

Lancashire catering wholesaler Birchall Foodservice has continued to flourish after relocating to a new £3m headquarters at Burnley Bridge business park with funding support from Yorkshire Bank.

The family-run firm has seen continued expansion and now includes a butchery department and training and exhibition centre.

Justin Birchall, managing director of Birchall Foodservice, said: "Moving to Burnley Bridge has allowed us to achieve a number of our growth targets and plan for further expansion.

"The move meant we could double our capacity and create new jobs including a development chef for the newly completed development kitchen.

"Yorkshire Bank understood our growth plans and helped us realise them by providing funding for the move. They were professional, courteous and helpful throughout the process."

Ian Hardman, head of Yorkshire Bank's Business and Private Banking Centre in Preston, said: "I am proud that Yorkshire Bank continues to support Birchall Foodservice as it continues its expansion.

"The new facility is just one of a number of growth initiatives that the family firm are working on. I look forward to continuing to work with Justin and the Birchall family."
