Birds Eye launches foodservice division

Birds Eye has set up a foodservice division to supply branded frozen produce to the various sectors of the catering industry, such as education, pubs, restaurants, leisure and hotels.

The range is set out in four key product categories of fish, poultry, vegetables and red meat, with each category set to deliver a selection of children's and adult products.

Fish fingers come in three variations - Cod Fillet Fish Fingers, Fish Fingers in a Crispy Batter and Omega 3 Fish Fingers. The first two use 100% prime fish fillet, while the Omega 3 Fish Fingers are made with 100% Alaska pollack fillet and are MSC-certified.

Poultry products include Chicken Dippers and Chicken Burgers made with 100% chicken breast, with no added phosphates.

The range of vegetables includes Garden Peas, Organic Peas, Petit Pois and Soya Beans, plus Steam Bags containing single portions of a variety of mixed vegetables that can be microwaved in minutes from frozen. Steam Bag varieties include Kids Steam Bag Vegetables - Carrots, Sweetcorn & Peas; Seasoned Peas, Carrots & Green Beans; Peas, Chunky Carrots & Broccoli Florets; and Carrots, Broccoli & Sweetcorn.

All beef used is traceable to its farm of origin, and Original Beef Burgers are made with minced beef from prime forequarter and flank cuts, with no artificial preservatives.
