USP The mix, which won an Innovation award at this year's Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA) conference in Birmingham, is a cost-effective powdered ice-cream that allows school caterers to whip up a tasty dessert in three simple steps without needing any specialised equipment.
Details School caterers simply add water, whisk the mixture and refrigerate it for as little as three hours to produce soft-serve ice-cream that meets school nutritional guidelines. They can add their own ingredient - such as cocoa, fruit pieces or juice - for variety.
