Bladen low-fat cheeses and spreads from The Cheese Company

There is a demand for low-fat dairy products from chefs looking to lower the fat content on their menu with no loss of taste. The Bladen Wellbeing Range aims to answer this need with several products.

The company says that Bladen Half Fat has a similar flavour to standard Cheddar, but has only 17% fat, compared with Cheddar's 34%. Described as having medium-mature strength, the cheese is available in a 2.5kg block in addition to slices (500g) and grated (1kg).

Bladen's Spreadable is made with 70% Lockerbie Creamery's award-winning Salted Butter, blended with vegetable oils, and is available in a 2kg lidded tub format and size 10 foil-topped dishes.

Bladen Sunflower Spread has 69% less saturated fat than butter while Sunflower Spread Light contains 82% less.

All of Bladen's spreads are available in size 10 dish formats, and both Sunflower and Sunflower Light spreads are made without any hydrogenated vegetable oils.
