Blakemore Foodservice wins £1m local authority deal in Newcastle
Landmark Wholesale member Blakemore Foodservice has announced its first major North-east contract with Newcastle-upon-Tyne Local Authority.
The two-year contract, worth £1m, commenced on 1 September and will be serviced by the company's modern Wakefield depot.
This is the ninth contract win for Blakemore since May. The group has also recently welcomed the company's first London boroughs, Barnet and Newham, the 80-site fast-food chain Perfect Pizza and Roadchef Motorway Services to its list of clients.
Blakemore sales and marketing director Jim Dudley said: "Blakemore Foodservice's growth and expansion into new territory reflects the commitment of our employees, who are passionate about advancing our business."
"There are further plans in place to add to our customer portfolio and 2012/13 promises to be a year of sales growth - our seventh consecutive one."
