Booker holds down prices for British Roast Dinner Week

Booker has announced a lock-down on prices for a wide range of fresh meat joints to help chefs, publicans and caterers make the most of British Roast Dinner Week (1-7 October).

The policy covers everything from extra-mature roasting beef to frozen turkey butterfly breast, horseshoe boneless pork leg and Australian boneless lamb leg.

"The roast dinner is a cornerstone of Great British cuisine," said Stuart Hyslop, Booker's sales director - catering.

"Whether you're running a pub, restaurant, event caterer or even a café, roast dinners and carveries offer an opportunity to sell more and make a good profit.

"Because we're holding these prices through until 9 October, in an ever-volatile market, our customers are safe in the knowledge that they can set their menu prices and not start to lose margin.

"We are also teaming up with Knorr during British Roast Dinner Week. Anyone who wants to find out more information can contact their local Booker branch."
