Brian Hall is appointed as the new MD of Seafood Holdings
Brian Hall has been appointed the new managing director of Seafood Holdings, suppliers of fish and seafood, meat and produce to national and independent caterers.
Hall first joined Seafood Holdings as a director in 2008, he became operations director in 2010 when foodservice company Bidfresh took ownership of Seafood. He previously held many roles including a director with M & J Seafoods, during the company's expansion.
"The industry is changing, and we are bringing in technology-driven ordering systems, but as far as our customers are concerned, we're only as good as the last delivery, we must never forget this," said Hall
"We have some of the best people in the industry in our team and I'm confident we will deliver on these challenges. Quality and service is everything, and our aim is to continue to always be our customers trusted advisor."
Hall is planning on increasing the company's focus on driving the appeal of under-used and sustainable seafood species. "This approach can bring many positives for fish on British menus despite the squeeze in margins presented by favourite species such as salmon. We are working closely with our customers and fishermen across the UK to help them to revise menus, encouraging them to look at new lines, bringing value to their menus as well as interest to their customers," added Hall.
Seafood Holdings operates 10 businesses around the country, which are all BRC A accredited, each trading under its own local brand, serving a total of over 14,000 customers.
