Built-in heated wells from Hatco

Hatco's new built-in heated wells provide a consistent holding temperature and even heat distribution to keep food at safe serving temperatures.

Made from heavy stainless steel said to be 11% thicker than rival models, the wells feature an integrated long-life heating element and a remote thermostat with a separate lighted power switch that retains the heat setting throughout service.

There are four basic sizes (rectangular 1/1, rectangular 4/3, seven-litre round, and 10-litre round) that are available in a range of wet and dry options.

For example, they can be top-mounted, bottom-mounted or insulated, and they come in low, standard or high-watt versions (120, 208 or 240 volts).

Wet wells have a flat drain screen to keep pans at consistent temperatures, and the drain design is said to be 50% bigger than competitors.

The wells, which are designed so components can be easily changed in the case of breakdown, come with a one-year parts and on-site labour warranty.
