Bunzl launches instruction videos for allergen labels

With allergen information legislation about to come into force on 13 December, Bunzl Catering Supplies has launched a series of YouTube videos to support its online label service, Caterlabel.

Operators will be required to provide allergen information on food sold both pre-packed and unpacked in all outlets that serve food, and Bunzl's videos provide simple instructions for setting up and getting started with Caterlabel. The service complies with the forthcoming legislation, with allergens automatically bolded in ingredients lists when ‘ticked' as present by the operator.

Paul Willcocks, director, exclusive brands, Bunzl Catering Supplies, explained: "Time is ticking for operators and we're committed to doing everything possible to get them ready before the deadline, and then once ready, we'll ensure operators are up, running and operationally compliant in no time. The videos really do showcase how simple Caterlabel is to use and how quickly operators can get their teams delivering FIR compliant labelling."
