Precision donates fridges to Cambridgeshire Army Cadets
Refrigeration manufacturer Precision Refrigeration has donated two nearly new refrigerators to the Army Cadet Force (ACF) at Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire following their successful bid for the company's Christmas giving campaign.
"It seemed a shame that these ‘nearly new' perfectly good products were not being used," explained Nick Williams, managing director for Precision Refrigeration.
"They were nearly new due to having been displayed at an exhibition, loan products or items with minor transport damage that were sitting in our warehouse and we decided to give this stock away to registered charities who are in need of extra equipment in a kitchen area."
Cambridgeshire ACF develops young people physically, as well as improving their self-confidence, teamwork, friendship and leadership skills. The multi-purpose centre at Waterbeach provides office accommodation for some of the full-time support staff. There is also a weekend training centre that houses 100 cadets and Instructors with classrooms, a dining hall and Combined Adult Mess.
Major Hammond, cadet executive officer, commented that "the donation of these two fridges will enhance the ACF welfare facility no end".
