Catering equipment leaders to share knowledge at Host Milan

The inaugural Foodservice Equipment & Supplies Global Leadership Summit will take place on 22 October, prior to the opening of the Host Exhibition from 23-27 October in Milan, Italy.

The summit will cover areas such as sustainability, training, energy labelling, customer care water and installation standards, Building Information Modelling (BIM), supply chain relationships and customer service.

It will be facilitated by Doug Fryett, a leading foodservice industry consultant and Chartered Food Service Professional programme trainer.

The three associations leading the event are the European Federation of Catering Equipment manufacturers (EFCEM), of which the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) is a member; the North American Federation of Foodservice Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) and the National Association of Food Equipment and Suppliers (NAFES), which covers Australia and New Zealand.

Simon Frost, chair of CESA, explained: "By sharing knowledge, experience, resources, expertise and learning, we can help each other and our industry meet the common challenges we all face.

"The knowledge database we will be able to generate will be valuable and relevant to the industry at large and our members locally. It is expected that there will be some hard-edged outcomes that will benefit our industry internationally and at local level and this is an exciting new development for all concerned."

Members of CESA who wish to raise specific questions at the summit should contact the association.
