CEDA Gets Academy and E-Learning boosts

CEDA has reported a positive start to both its new E-Learning platform and the CEDA Academy for young industry talent, both launched at its recent annual conference.

Adam Mason, director general of CEDA, commented: "We have received replies from 21 members for E-Learning who are now registered on the site as training managers. Combined, they have committed a total of 276 employees to undertaking 2,702 e-learning modules over the next 12 months.

"This a great boost to CEDA's learning and education portfolio, and very good news for the wider foodservice equipment sector as our members increase their knowledge and skills base."

The platform has been developed in partnership with Maguire Training, which offers 100 video-based learning modules, accessible from any device with internet access. The core learning areas cover sales/service, management and leadership, and personal development.

The new CEDA Academy has had 12 nominations from 10member companies and three Platinum partners to be represented within the CEDA Academy.

"The response to the CEDA Academy is excellent," added Mason

"It's great that our members and partners are keen to have their young and upcoming talent in it to share their ideas and vision. They will meet twice per year, with the first meeting scheduled for September and the benefits to the wider industry, as our rising talent comes together to discuss the challenges they face and share their ideas, will make a positive impact both now and in the future."
