CEDA supports small service companies
The Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) is offering small service companies annual membership to its association for less than £1 a day to help continue its efforts in supporting the catering equipment distributor industry.
During January and February 2013, CEDA will be distributing 10,000 invitations to potential members through their partners First Choice Catering Spares, Commercial Catering Spares and Mechline Developments.
Peter Kay, director of technical support, said: "As an association, we have real potential to be an influencer on standards and regulations that directly affect service companies and their engineers. Our combined knowledge and authority means that for smaller service members, being a part of the association can provide the support and knowledge required in this changeable sector of the equipment industry."
"Membership can also generate additional business opportunities through other CEDA members who do not have their own service and installation engineers. These members are committed to ensuring that they only use qualified sub-contractors and naturally they turn to the service members in the knowledge that they meet all their requirements."
Earlier in 2012 in association with CESA, CEDA launched the Register of Qualified Catering Equipment Engineers which is becoming the benchmark used by facilities management companies, public authorities and larger commercial operators looking for service companies.
Membership of the register is only open to CEDA and CESA members and offers an exclusive platform for new business opportunities from end users and the association members.
