CESA course gets the nod

The Certified Food Service Professional programme developed for both operators and suppliers by the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) has won accreditation as a Level 4 certificate by Thames University. The course covers all areas of food production, including food safety, distribution, kitchen design, new technology and sustainability.

"It gives a real understanding of the more technical elements of food service equipment and the important considerations when planning capital investments and equipment purchases," said former student Chris Penn, of London's Cavendish hotel.

Supplier Moffat's Gary Allen said the programme had given him "a more professional, confident approach to customers."
