Chopped okra from Ardo

Fast-frozen pre-cut okra is the latest time-saving ingredient from Kent-based Ardo UK. Okra, also known as ladies' fingers, is a vegetable of West African origin that has become a staple in Far Eastern, Mediterranean, southern Indian and Caribbean "soul" cooking.
It can be fried, boiled or steamed and is suited for a wide range of uses, including stews (which are thickened by the glutinous juice), curries, tempura and gumbo.
The ready-chopped frozen okra retains the flavour, texture and colour of the raw ingredient but reduces the wastage that stems from the short life of the fresh vegetable.
It is supplied in packs of 10 x 1kg.
