Convotherm 2in1 mini combi-oven from Manitowoc

The 2in1 is a new mini combi-oven from Convotherm that provides two separate cooking chambers within a single housing that allows caterers to steam and roast at the same time, without needing to wait for one process to finish.

The two chambers are operated by a simple-to-use easyTouch control panel. The oven uses Convotherm's Advanced Closed System, which keeps food crispy and tasty by retaining heat within the cooking chamber and reducing the levels of oxygen entering the cavity to regulate moisture levels.

Bacterial contamination is eliminated by using antimicrobial silver ion technology in the door handle. The oven's vital statistics are 515x 599x1577mm (WxDxH) and there are two models on offer, a 6 x 2/3 GN and a 6 x 1/1 GN.

Convotherm's EcoCooking mode, which reduces energy use by 25% and will be added as standard to all models from 2010, won the Gulfood Award for best ecological initiative at Hotelympia earlier this year. It uses pre-programmed pulses of energy to maintain temperature, rather than operating at full power throughout the cooking process.
