Counter Top Fryers from Lincat
Commercial equipment maker Lincat has relaunched its Lynx 400 line of compact electric counter-top fryers to provide maximum output in a minimum space. Although they have been redesigned, the LDF single-tank and LDF2 twin-tank models have retained their original dimensions, but the LSF version has shrunk to a slimline model for occasional or standby use. The entirely new LFF is intended to be used for the free frying of battered or breaded foods - it can fry 28 x 120g portions of battered fish per hour. All models - which are made from high-sheen Phoenix stainless steel and work off a 13amp plug - are 315mm high and 400m deep, with widths ranging from 185mm (the LSF) to 540mm (the LDF2). Output capacities range from 8kg of chilled chips per hour for the 2.5kW LSF to 21kg for the twin-tank 2 x 3kW LDF2.
Common features include removable control heads, elements, tanks and batter plates; high-limit thermostats; interlock cut-off if the fryer head is out of position; non-slip feet; power-on neons; chrome-plated wire mesh baskets; and stainless-steel lids. Lincat has shaved 5% off the list prices of the three models, which now cost £195 for the LFF, £211 for the LDF and £419 for the LDF2, while the new LFF is listed at £319.
