Country Range in frozen cake giveaway

The Country Range consortium of 14 independent food wholesalers is expanding its line of frozen products to reduce time, hassle and stress in commercial kitchens.

The April launch of its frozen sliced white and wholemeal loaves was followed up last month with a quintet of frozen, hand-made cakes, each pre-portioned into 14 slices.

The sweet treats include Carrot Cake, filled and topped with sweet frosting and sprinkled with walnut pieces; Coffee & Walnut Cake, with a coffee butter icing filling and topping; and a classic Victoria Sandwich sponge cake, layered with raspberry jam and butter icing and sprinkled with a sweet dusting.

There is also a Chocolate Cake, topped and filled with a chocolate butter fudge icing and scattered with chocolate pieces; and a Lemon Drizzle Cake, with pieces of lemon zest, a drizzling of lemon juice and a finish of crystallised sugar bits.

To celebrate this sweet expansion, Country Range is offering one lucky reader a 500mm LEC table-top freezer in which to squirrel away a personal stash of close-to-hand frozen treats.
