CSfD and Bidvest 3663 in software partnership

Management software company CSfD has announced a partnership with Bidvest 3663 to develop its Pentelon product suite.

Pentelon delivers order processing, purchasing, warehouse management and inventory control and the two businesses are confident that it will become industry standard software as a result of the joint development project.

The partnership builds on an existing relationship between the two organisations and follows the purchase in August 2014 of a 20% stake in CSfD by BFS Group, the parent company of Bidvest 3663.

CSfD CEO Peter van der Merwe said: "This partnership has created the ideal environment in which to develop Pentelon with one of the most demanding wholesale operations in the UK. The outcome will be a proven software solution that we believe will be widely adopted across the industry.

Abigail Brierley, group IT director of Bidvest 3663, said: "This partnership is part of our ongoing investment to ensure we continue to deliver the best products and value to our customers as efficiently as possible.

"Not only will we benefit from being able to develop the software to meet our requirements, as this technology is being developed alongside our current core processes we will be able to introduce enhancements in a staged and controlled way without affecting customer service."
