Dudson to provide Virgin Trains with china

Tableware company Dudson is to supply Virgin Trains with more than a quarter of a million pieces of china this December.

The Stoke-on-Trent-based company will supply Virgin Trains' Pendolino with new china as part of its new First Class catering offer to be introduced alongside its improved timetable.

The stylish but simple place settings will replace china that has been used since the start of the Pendolino services in 2004 and better utilisation will mean the total number of pieces in each set will reduce from nine to five.

Nic Cuthbertson, Virgin Trains' product development and purchasing manager, said: "We have been impressed by Dudson's professionalism in understanding our requirements and converting our ideas to something real and workable."
