The Far East is the inspiration for five new single-portion meals that the Authentic Food Company has developed in tandem with 3663 First For Foodservice, which is the exclusive distributor of the line to bars, hotels and restaurants.

All the meals - which are sold in cases of 12 packs - can be served with egg fried rice, Singapore noodles or Thai sticky rice, and most will cook from frozen in less than 25 minutes in the oven or less than three minutes in the microwave.

Four of the dishes come in 350g packs and include Duck in an Oriental Plum Sauce; an aromatic Thai King Prawn Curry flavoured with choi sum, spring onions, red peppers and whole lime leaf; and the upgraded Red and Green Thai Curries, which serve chicken pieces in a traditional-style sauce made with coconut milk, whole lime leaf, red chillis, lemon grass, peppers and coriander.

The Sweet and Sour Chicken Battered Balls, which weighs 255g, are crispy-coated chicken breast pieces that can be oven-baked or fried. They are served with a tangy Chinese-style sauce provided in a sachet to simmer in boiling water.
