The Tropea onion - a red, sweet, slightly elongated and highly aromatic bulb that grows for only a short season in the Calabrian town of Tropea - has been combined with balsamic vinegar to create a distinctive relish that's now available from IB Food, the supplier of premium Mediterranean chef ingredients.
The new Tropea Onion & Balsamic Vinegar Relish is an ideal accompaniment to smoked fish and crustaceans, smoked meats, tempura-style fish and cheeseboards.
