Enodis UK Food Service: Supplier profile

Q Describe your business objectives.A To offer the ultimate, technologically driven, integrated solution for food and beverage service across all sectors of the hospitality industry.

Q What are the current issues facing your food service customers?AThe continuing rise of food, labour and energy costs is a major issue for all of our customers. The hospitality industry requires flexible products that maximise efficiency, maximise speed and which can be operated with little training, in a sustainable way and in limited space.

Q How do you help them address these issues?A Accelerated cooking technology can, at the touch of a button, cook virtually any meal from high-quality hot sandwiches and delicate soufflés through to high-volume portions for banqueting and conferencing. Enodis can offer a solution for almost every cooking demand, thanks to world-leading brands such as Merrychef, Convotherm, Moorwood Vulcan, Lincoln and Garland, within our portfolio.

Q What are the questions your customers ask most regularly?AThe questions tend to be more about what we can offer in addition to purely selling the equipment. They want advice on the choice of products available, they want to be assured that there is a great after-sales service and that we can offer a training programme to ensure that, once purchased, they make full use of what the equipment has to offer. We obviously reassure potential purchasers that we want to partner them at all stages of the buying cycle: pre-, during and after-sale.

Q What do you believe will be the next big trend in your market?

6.10 Easy Touch
6.10 Easy Touch
A Quick-service restaurants, casual dining, food-on-the-go and speciality themed outlets will continue to rise in number. There will be an increased demand from the consumer for high-quality food that is prepared fresh when the customer wants to eat it, rather than when the outlet is ready to serve it.

Q Where does the company stand on green issues?A Enodis, as other equipment manufacturers, is driving innovation and developments to lower energy consumption in both the equipment's operation and its manufacture. We are driving the profile of Enerlogic within the business to clearly highlight those products within our portfolio that have superior efficiency. Within our design criteria, sustainability and green issues impact strongly on future blueprints.

Q In the long term, where's the business going?A We are already in the enviable position of being a world-leading supplier. However, there is still a huge opportunity and capacity to grow the business further through continued development of green innovations, delivering new and exciting products and systems, and to ensure ours is a company that is easy to do business with. We have the ability to realistically double the size of our operation within three to five years.
