EveryWare Global's Oneida business acquires George Wilkinson and Samuel Groves

EveryWare, parent of the Oneida business, has strengthened its offering for UK foodservice operators with the purchase of Metalrax Houseware's George Wilkinson and Samuel Groves businesses.

The transaction will support EveryWare, a supplier of quality table-top solutions for the foodservice industry; build its presence in the UK through offering a more diverse portfolio to both front and back-of-house needs.

The Samuel Groves range includes Mermaid, Longlife and Le Buffet for use in servicing back-of-house operations which will complement EveryWare's cutlery, dinnerware and glassware products for front-of-house which are sold under the Sant' Andrea, Oneida and Anchor Hocking brands.

Julian Williams, managing director of EveryWare for the EMEA region, said: "The acquisition means that we can now offer foodservice operators a comprehensive variety of products to meet all their needs which is a major step forward as we build our presence in the UK.

"The combination of these well-known brands and a supply chain capable of speed and customisation will enhance our foodservice proposition. The product and brand portfolio is expanding at pace: not only do we now have key back-of-house cookware brands under our umbrella but we also have the capability to manufacture these products for private label opportunities and second sourcing."
