The Fit Fruit and Vegetable Wash is an environmentally-friendly anti-bacterial wash for salads, fruit and vegetables that is being heralded as potential replacement for standard washes based on chlorine, a potentially harmful chemical.

The 100% naturally-sourced wash combines natural acids, oils and a surfactant which, unlike chlorine-based systems, will clean as well as disinfect food, removing soils, insects, surface pesticides and waxes. This makes it a more effective zapper of food-poisoning bugs such as E coli, salmonella and listeria - it achieved kill rates as high as 99.9% in laboratory tests.

It is safe to use on whole, chopped or sliced foods and is certified for vegan and kosher use.
