Brakes has introduced four new varieties of traditional pies and puddings, including a 500g cottage pie made with British beef, carrots and peas in gravy, topped with mashed potato.
For a richer flavour, the 380g steak and Merlot pie is a fully baked pastry case filled with British steak and onions in Merlot gravy.
The 450g salmon and smoked haddock pie is made with a creamy wine and parsley sauce topped with sliced saut‚d potatoes and Cheddar cheese, and the 340g vegetarian Stilton, peppered mushroom and onion pudding, filled with mushrooms and onions in a cheesy peppered sauce, is encased in fully baked suet pastry pudding.
