"There are a growing number of diners who do not want to eat gluten and who are looking for the real deal - all-natural, low-fat, artisan snacks," said founder Kristina Locke. "This is a wonderful accolade for us and just shows that going gluten-free doesn't mean you have to compromise on quality."
The hand-made crackers are part of the group's Power Snack line of seven sweet and seven savoury healthy snacks that are sold in all the bars and restaurants in Oberoi hotels across India and include the Mumbai Masala Munch, winner of a Gold Great Taste Award in 2011.
The product portfolio also includes Digestive and Energising Teas, Pickles and Digestive Mix, a tasty Ayurvedic blend of herbs, seeds and spices.
Conscious Foods works with small, community-based farms and co-operatives in India in a bid to re-establish the country's fast-disappearing ancient grains and farming methods.
