Frozen poultry supplier Plusfood opens new production operation in the Netherlands
With the ever-increasing uncertainties associated with the import of frozen chicken from Thailand and other markets, the opening of frozen poultry supplier Plusfood's state-of-the art production facility at its factory in Oosterwolde, Netherlands, is able to offer a reliable supply of products for both the retail and food service markets.
By adopting a policy of global and local supply, combined with local production, Plusfood is able to extend its range of niche products alongside mainstream chicken products in-line with the growth strategy of parent company BRF.
Simon Bloys, general manager UK & Republic of Ireland, said: "The new production facility gives Plusfood the ability to manufacture locally for our UK and European customers, thus providing prompt and efficient delivery. It also means that we are able to accommodate and react to change, which includes adapting product and packaging requirements quickly."
Plusfood is a member of the BRF group, one of the world's top 10 food companies, as well as the world's largest poultry business.
