Frozen soups for round-the-year options from Delice de France

The latest frozen soup offerings from Delice de France comply with the Food Standards Agency's revised 2010 salt reduction targets.

The 10 new flavours have been devised to vary caterers' menus with the changing months. So the winter-warming Leek & Potato soup can give way in March to the lighter Carrot & Coriander, followed in spring by the ethnic-inspired Chicken, Spring Onion & Coriander soup, which includes basmati rice, coconut milk, spinach leaves and red pepper.

Summertime classics include Cream of Tomato, Minted Pea and Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables with Orzo Pasta, while Pea & comes into its own during the pea-picking month of August.

As autumn and winter moves in, options such as French Onion and Beef, New Potato & Theakston Ale soup (including chunky vegetables and pearl barley) can take centre stage.

The soups are sold in cases of 4 x 1.5kg frozen packs.
