USP Fry's vegetarian foods are produced and developed in South Africa by the Fry family who are themselves dedicated vegetarians. Fry's have achieved ISO 22000 accreditation which is the highest international standard for food safety management systems and quality control.
Details Fry's are fully approved by both The Vegan Society and The Vegetarian Society. The products are Kosher (Parev Mehadrin - a very high form of Kosher approval for Jews), Shuddha (suitable for Hindus) and Halaal (suitable for Muslims). Several of the products are also free of onions and garlic and as such, can be eaten by Theravada and Mahayana Buddhists, certain practitioners of Hinduism and followers of Hare Krishna - as well as people with onion and garlic allergies.
Ingredients The main ingredient is "protam" - developed from a combination of soya, textured wheat protein and various combinations of herbs and spices. The products are completely free of nuts, cholesterol, artificial preservatives, flavourings and colourings. The entire range is free from animal products and is, therefore, perfect for vegans.
