FSCI UK and Ireland announces appointment of new chair

The Foodservice Society Consultants International (FCSI) UK and Ireland has announced the appointment of Matthew Merritt-Harrison as its new chair.

Merritt-Harrison, who was previously been vice chair of the society, takes over from Julian Edwards. He has more than 40 years of experience in the catering industry.

Merritt-Harrison said: "My focus now is to build upon the excellent work undertaken by Julian during his tenure, to ensure that new and former members are welcomed into the FCSI family and to promote the society as the authoritative voice of the industry. It is also vital that we further promote the value of employing FCSI consultants, all of whom are required to give completely impartial, unbiased advice to their clients as specified by the FCSI's strict Code of Conduct."

The new chair will continue to work with the FCSI in Europe and worldwide.
