Speciality miller Doves Farm Foods has the growing number of people with gluten intolerance or allergy in mind with the launch of its Gluten Free Self Raising Flour.

This cake-blending mix is made using dedicated equipment to ensure it is free of any traces of gluten, and simply requires the use of a little extra liquid to keep the cake moist. It is sold in 5 x 1kg packs that carry various recipe ideas including a traditional Victoria sponge made without key allergens such as eggs, soya, dairy and nuts.

The new line brings the group's gluten- and wheat-free home-baking range to six flours, including plain, brown, white, gram and rice flours.
