Gluten-free muffins and breads from Delice de France

With sales of gluten-free foods growing by 14% between 2002 and 2007, Delice de France has launched new lines of muffins and breads for the gluten-intolerant that it promises will not disappoint on taste.

They require no baking - operators simply remove, defrost and serve. The muffins and breads comply with strict EU standards to avoid cross-contamination - they are baked in a dedicated gluten-free bakery and individually wrapped. The muffins come in cases of 24, divided equally between blueberry and chocolate chip varieties.

The bread, designed for easy filling and portion control, can be used for traditional sandwiches and ciabatta- or pizza-style hot snacks. Both muffins and bread have a four-day shelf life after defrosting.
