Gourmet cook-and-vend unit from Jofemar

The Gourmet is an advanced hot-food vending merchandiser with a built-in microwave oven, which manufacturer Jofemar UK likens to a ‘canteen in a vending machine'.

Once a selection is made, the machine reheats the food integrally in a high-power microwave. The maximum time any hot product will take to dispense is 60 seconds and it may be used to vend all manner of hot food, including ready meals, pizzas, hot sandwiches, baguettes and ciabattas.

The Gourmet merchandiser offers up to 22 selections and is designed to augment restaurant services in the workplace - for example, by serving shift workers with hot food after the staff restaurant has closed. On small sites it may even take the place of the staff restaurant altogether.

It is available with or without a refrigerator unit to serve ambient or chilled food.
