Government Procurement Service awards Hobart framework deal
Hobart UK has been awarded a framework to supply food preparation, prime cooking, warewash and waste disposal equipment to the public sector by the Government Procurement Service (GPS), following a formal tender process.
David Riley, responsible for warewash and food prep at Hobart UK, said: "Hobart has been working in partnership with the Government sector for over a century. In fact, our first customer in the UK was a hospital and to have been successful on all three lots for food preparation, cooking, warewashing and waste disposal is an enormous achievement and a reflection of our catering equipment excellence."
Roger Kellow, government business manager, added: "Hobart understands that every sector has its own needs and given the scope and demands of the Public Sector procurement, it was right to demand excellence of the supply chain.
"One of the unique aspects of our operation is that we have dedicated Government business managers. There's a vast amount of experience and knowledge in the team, which means we have an unrivalled level of expertise in this area."
Cooking brands manufactured by Hobart include Bonnet, Maestro, MBM and Elro.
